
Well, apparently, Fusion completely ignores this action and only considers the "official project settings", so to speak, and there's no way to override it (or I couldn't find it). When you are in the Edit tab and you add a larger resolution image, the "Retime and Scaling" defaults to "Project Settings", in my case, "Fit", but you can override it to "Crop" in the Inspector and have the image in real size. My problem was the same, the image didn't have the right size enven "inside" the 1920x1080.Īfter serveral painful days of struggling I found the solution to my issue. I had also tried the "background approach" it is, in fact, very well explained in the Fusion manual: you have to set an HD background and merge with your image as the foreground and then you have the right timeline size and you can pan/move around your image.

Upon deeper reading I also had noticed I don't exceed the px limit.
